disclaimer : i wont apologise if i end up sounding a teensy biased in my critiquing, but i think having seen this artists work over the last few years gives a little more perspective to better critique with.

so im going to start off with that the second i pulled this up to view it kind of blew my mind a little bit. mlp is not amazing to me, and im sure doing up the characters as other franchise characters had been run into the ground, but that is part of why this had blown my mind a bit. i dont care for mlp or half of the franchises referenced in this image, but i love it anyway, and that takes something special.

the layout IMO is great, its busy and there are a lot of characters happening, but it doesnt feel cluttered or hectic. could some things still be improved upon? certainly, but things could always be improved on. but for this artist, this is A++. coloring and shading is progressing nicely, the line work is clean, and i cant find much to nit pick now.

could the buildings and ground have more detail? probably, but i think it would ultimately distract from the whole, just as i think it would lessen it if the characters were colored less vibrantly to match the bg more. in some cases the vibrancy might hurt the piece, but here is not the case, and the vibrancy works well here to help you appreciate it.

looking forward to future works, because from the looks of this mile marker, they will be worth waiting for!
